Actually; there is a guy here in Old Montreal who has been doing the "Free hug" thing for maybe 10-15 years. Everytime we'd go to old Montreal, we'd see him at the same spot, every time.

Where the hell did you get that idea? We don't do that, at least over my place. We do kiss our female friends when saying hi too. And we shake hands with guys (which I think is stupid, but bleh).
