ah just tried with firefox and it worked thanks for the help dunno whether or not to stick with firefox now, thats really weird, but not sure of all the features on firefox so dont trust myself with it

That's an old Internet Explorer problem
Now, if you want a browser suggestion, Google Chrome is great Firefox is also a great browser, you'll probably find it way better than IE

Hello, I have a request to make.. Would it be possible to choose the backgrounds (for the contact list and conversation window) from a file?
I would like to use a dark background, but they are all very colourful.

That's a planned feature, it can be done with scripts. For now, you can manually change that, but remember most text will be rendered unreadable.

Each developer updates it when they can/want, you can request your skin's developer to update it [it will probably be labeled in the about window, nested inside the options window], anyways.
