Whats the maximum frames a gif can have?

I think it's unlimited.

Some programs that deal with gif files might have their own limits, but the format itself allows unlimited frames.

I would also like to mention that I would like to convert video to gif or a bunch of iamges....how do I do this?

you would have to split the frames using something like windows movie maker?

256 colour may make video to animated gif look a bit rubbish in most cases....


i had to respond to this thread.... it's got my name written all over it

I just wanted a lil clip from a video.....

there are programs that can do this for you.. google it im sure you will find something.. say wmv to gif or a similar query
