Hey People...

Ok, so i was on a lyrics site looking for some stuff for skool, and it asked me instal activeX...Ok silly mee sed "OKAY DEN" coz i was in a rush and ever since then i have pop-ups like every 3 mins or so.... can ne more help me..........And i get like 6 wen i first dail up to net!!

I hate it soo could ne one help

Most lyrics site have spyware on them that they get you to install. Try getting Spybot to check for any possible spyware

Oh hey... I have Ad-Aware SE Personal... but yeah ill try spybot thanx mwe99

Also install the Microsoft Antispyware Beta 1 version that should get what spybot and adware don't

Isn't that MS Antispy supposed to be poor?

no it is very good. better than the major alternatives imo opinion and thats not just me a lot of people agree.

I personally recommend SpyBot S&D.
And a guy with MS logos as avatar and sig says MS product is good

just use firefox, blocks most pop-ups and i think it doesn't support active-X

Don't use Microsoft Antispyware BETA. Didn't work at all for me.

My favourite anti-spyware program. Gets rid of all spyware etc. very good.

I still prefer Ad-aware SE and Spybot and I don't think that's gonna change. I've had them for ages.

Thats becuase there isn't a lot of spyware written to get through Firefox as IE is so much more popular. As Firefox becomes more popular though, I'm sure we'll be seeing more firefox spyware.
