Sorry about your gerbil. I know how you feel, we have had many rabbits that have died (one was called Sooty - he was so friendly, and had to be put down. ). I hate it when animals die.

  My friend had a white lab that lived to 20.  One lab set a world record of 27 years.  That breed isn't small at all  But in most cases you are right, small dogs do live longer.  Like Great Danes the biggest dog breed only live for like 7-9 years.  My neighbor has three great danes.  There backyard stinks bad

Sorry about your gerbil! Two of my 3 cats I've had, have died . It sucks. At least you'll have all the good memories (I know that was cheesy but that's what everyone said to me! lol).

its actuly called a rennmaus (a running mouse) in german but they also call it a spring maus.i know it becos i live in switzerland thanks anyway
