RE: Virus attack
just stop accepting random exe files over msn messenger? A firewall wont do shit for you unless you're getting hacked because you use windows xp sp0 or something like that, in which case you can just upgrade to prevent.

RE: Virus attack
This thread is about Viruses and anti-viruses, not whether you like Opera, IE or Firefox.
Please don't turn this into a lame browser war. Make a new thread for that, I'm for it.
From experience, there is no "best" anti-virus program. If you're that paranoid, get off the internet. It's the only way you'll stop yourself from ever getting a virus. Well..that or Common Sense™.

RE: Virus attack
Try using a better Antivirus program, I have found that McAfee is better than Norton.

All anti-viruses do that. If that is how you pick your anti-virus then I feel sorry for you.

Depends if the site you saw it on was a reputable one
How did this turn into a browser war? Start another thread. This is about viruses not which browser is better! (Gee, I wonder who started it? Who else )

RE: Virus attack
I use Firefox (and no i'm not trying to provoke a browser war, its my personal choice) with Leechget 2005 (downloading app) and get it to scan every file i download with VET anti-virus (by computer associates). Allthough I hate to say this, i still use the lame Windows XP SP2 Firewall. I also scan whatever files I get over MSN as well. Vet has never let me down.
I should change my sig ay?
