O.P. Problems with CNET Websites!
It seems all websites owned by CNET do not exist.
Firefox
www.download.com screenshot
www.cnet.com screenshot
www.com.com screenshot
www.news.com screenshot
And I get " The page cannot be displayed" In Internet Explorer
I've had this for ages. Its up and down. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I think i've posted here before aobut this, but got no solution.
It seems no one else has this problem but me ?
I don't understand it.. ?

RE: Problems with CNET Websites!
Thats Internet Explorer's way of telling you it can't open it because of DNS problems. It happens quite often for me sometimes also, on certain websites. I don't know if this might help, but you can try it. In the command prompt type "ipconfig /flushdns". That will clear your DNS list, and get a new one from your ISP's server. If that doesn't help, get firefox .

RE: Problems with CNET Websites!
also check the HOSTS file for entries blocking download.com. are you running a firewall?
can you try pinging download.com? (type "ping www.download.com" in a command prompt) and give the IP address you're getting (between [])

I'm running Windows Firewall only, which is not blocking any websites.
I tried pinging, the command promp came up for about 20 seconds, then disapeared?

Can you connect to http://216.239.115.131
If you can, that means that you have DNS resolving problems...

type "cmd" in the run box and then try pinging. typing "ping download.com" in a command prompt is not executing "ping download.com" from the run box.

I get this when I type that in cmd...
"Ping Request could not find download.com. Please check the name and try again"
