I would definitely go for the HP, out of experience... The toshiba pc isn't much better, and is probably more expensive...

For £40, you could buy a stick of 512Mb DDR RAM and the PC would be amazing...

Intel Centrino Processors suck.

I hate more commercial brand like HP, Compaq, etc.
These always come with a lot of unnescesary software.. and OMG the process list is overcharged! I still hav e a Toshiba Satellite with 130 MBs of HDD, Windows 3.1 and B&W LCD never had a problem with it.

Please do not generalize like that! We already had such generalization-discussions earlier this week. Read what it says. It goes about a certain specific batch of batteries which were malfunctionning. Tbh, this isn't such big extraordinary news at all and such stuff happens all the time in the industry. All this certainly does not mean that all HP batteries are bad!
