RE: Windows Live Messenger (New official name for MSN Messenger 8.0)
If no one minds me saying ..... it is my personaly opinion that the new messenger sucks .... cause the presentation is ....... aweful tbh.
The orange colour .... what were they thinking ..... but the main problem is the way they group all contacts and everything .... i personally dont like it dunno about you
I have never had a problem with a messenger version tbh (as far as disliking goes) I loved the whole msn 7 series as there were so much new stuff that was good ..... But they just tried to over do it in v8 and it looks goddy tbh ...
is my vote ....

Crobat, thanks for the info on the tabs.
John, according to some of the screenshots that were released, you can change the color scheme to pretty much whatever you want. That was just the color they were using in the demo. What do you mean about how they group contacts? From what I've seen in some of the screenshots, you can make your own contact groups and sort by that.
Hmaster, I was saying the same thing. They do seem to be implimenting many of the features that Plus! already gives. Maybe that's why Patchou was invited to Redmond? Think he will get credit or anything for the features?

you can change the orange to whatever colour you want to!! its just like the colouring of the contact windows
what it dont like is the extraordinarily large sedna dn search buttons, they're quite ugly

I think as soon as I can take a mess patch to it, and clear it up a bit, it might be able to look respectable.

I downloaded it and used it for a bit but I found the text is huge. Your contact list explodes in size. Aswell as there is no icon to distingush which contacts are busy or away.
A funny thing that did occur was that an old group that I use to have on my contact list reappeared with WML but since I switched back to 7.5 that group has disappeared. Not that I care but I found it strange.
Overall, Im not that impressed. Hopefully they change it up...a lot.
