How did you find that out because i'm considering getting more RAM but don't know how much my computer can hold?

for me it was in the manual ...if you still have it

I was thinking of buying a 512mb stick to add onto my 512mb I already have [256mb x 2] but I think from that data above I only have 2 places I can put memory sticks in.

If I took one of the 256mb sticks out and replaced with 512, i'd have 768mb...? I've been told I shouldn't use two different sticks.

Here in portugal, that'd cost you 160 euros, pretty expensive, why don't you buy a 1gb ram stick for less than 160 euros and replace one of the 256 Mb ones with it ?

I guess I could get a 1GB stick for about £50 and replace with one of the 256mb sticks, so I'd have 1.25GB RAM? Correct?
