O.P. new system and new screen makes methos a very dull boy
ive just built my own system, got the monitor today and just finsihed off all the stuff. plugging evenrthing in an when i put the xp CD in and boot up the system, the monitor just says 'no input found' or something around that. Ive checked the cabling, and cant see why its doing it, anyone else got any ideas?? cheers

look at the gfx card, make sure that it is plugged in firmly.

- No more than 1 videocard?
If there's an integrated VGA on the mainboard and also you installed another one, change the cable to the other VGA, go to BIOS and change the option of wich one to use.

nope, just the one, a GeForce 7800GT, and its a totally new card and mobo, besides, i cant even access the bios setup - my monitor isnt showing anything
EDIT: nope, checked the card and its plugged in firmly and rechecked the cables for the monitor, its still saying 'no input signal'

Have you tried another monitor?
do you have an extra card to try with?
i got the same warning because of phproxy
in a few mins, everone eas using it.

try another mon and see if it works.
btw the proxy is damn good, totally pwns mine. I downloaded a copy for myself. .
(where do you guys live, cause the filtering soft we use is by novell and its a bitch, but its stupid too, therefore I doubt I'll get caught.)

im just rebuilding, its not booting properly: no beep to say its loading, so i think its my hardware skilz, lol.
its not that i told everyone about my proxy, its that i challenged the techies in our school, and went on naughty websites, they found out and next thing i know: the head of IT and Maths pulls me up and warns me officially, calls me an extremely clever young person but the techie has a psysics degree from Cambridge Uni (top 5 in the world )

lol, i live in Machester, we have a software called CachePilot but the system is RM...
