O.P. VERY weird problem with menu bar
OK... For some reason I put the menu bar on, and now I can't get it off! The little button on the top right for going back to the default "no menu bar" has vanished and I have not found a single option for getting rid of it in any of the drop down menus. If anyone has any ideas I would be very thankful for advice!
Cheers

RE: VERY weird problem with menu bar
When you maximize your window, the menubar will appear, and the button will vanish just like you said.
This would be problem with Windows Live Messenger, and I don't think it's related to Plus!, but to make sure I'm going to ask you some questions. Are you running Plus! when this happens? Is the same when you run Windows Live Messenger without Plus!?

O.P. RE: VERY weird problem with menu bar
Ok:
I am running Plus, but even when the window isn't maximized the button isn't there.
I am not sure how to run it without plus.
Interestingly, when I run windows live messenger plus! using the same hotmail account on the same PC but on a different user on the PC, this problem doesn't occur.

RE: VERY weird problem with menu bar
Do you have Enhancer script installed? You can check it from Messenger Plus! Live Preferences > Main > Scripts.
If you see it there, and if you see the checkbox has been ticked, untick it and check again.

RE: VERY weird problem with menu bar
Which Messenger Version are you using, because I'm using 8.5 (patched with messpatch and apatch) on Vista Ultimate 32Bit and I'm having a similar issue at the moment, the 'Show the Menu Bar' option on the button menu keeps disappearing, I've not managed to track it down to anything as of yet.

I don't have the enhancer script installed, so that didn't work;and I am using version 8.1 on XP home edition at the moment. I have already tried reinstalling the version I have (8.1) but I could try upgrading it to 8.5.... Do you think that would help? Where can I download 8.5 from?

O.P. RE: VERY weird problem with menu bar
Thanks, I have installed 8.5 BUT now it won't actually let me open messenger! I am clicking on the new 8.5 messenger icon in the all programs menu, but nothing happens! Any advice welcome!
