Not sure if this has been mentioned, i haven't read the whole thread.. but there has been an update on Koen's Game Patch which also includes the custom tabs fixes and also i think a custom url

well, are you realy realy sure???

I mean this error won't show when you have the original unmodified unskinned msnmsgr.exe (size=4677632 bytes)...

Too check you got the original you can use the HashCalc utility from LavaSoft.
(the values you should get: CRC32=EF 74 34 5C, MD5=f5f4204ca96e6337a52a90efb7b61257)

The error may be caused cause the download of msgplus, migght have frozen or stopped half way through.

Nah , msgplus doesn't edit any of the messenger files or else that would be illegal.

No. I mean like when you download it to install it, the ifrst time I did it, it wouldn't work either. I have to download it again to make it work. Like perhgaps part of the file is lost in the download the first time but gets picked up second time.
