My msn wont sign in, look at screen below

I live in Quebec, Canada

and i never had this problem...
look at your firewall settings, proxy settings, etc...
what connexion do you have?
do you have the latest version installed? (.0207)

Also, I see that you have Norton Antivirus....
Norton has a build in firewall which is known to give problems. Disable it and try again...

not all norton products. not Nortan Anti viruys. System works comes with Personal Firewalll, i think..... but not AV

Norton Anti Virus can be a trouble maker.... It has to do with it's build in protection. There is info about it, but at this hour (6am) I'm not gonna search for it. It's in the messenger newsgroups though...

I had this problem... But I found it out! The solution lies in the registry

1) Start->Run->REGEDIT (ok)->HKEY_CU->Software->Microsoft->MSNMessenger
2) Delete the DA blah blah and D blah Authority strings (I can't remember them, but those are the only ones to get rid of)
3) REstart MSN, and it WILL work!

it still wont sign in! (i didnt try regedit) i tried windows messenger it wont work either sometimes microsoft are a bunch of idiots

HEY i used regedit! u fixed it! ty alot! i only needed to delete one
