I like the Google Toolbar, it's usefull. I was installing Real Player 10 and it had the option to install the Google Toolbar. I thought, hey i'll install it with Real Player. Now it's included with the Divx codec as well lol

I didn't think Google payed companies for distributing that toolbar as I thought it was popular

Now you started this, i can ask.......Did google release any tool bar for FF (offical i mean)

Nope, but the FF googlebar is just as good.

back to topic, I'm starting to dislike Google's movements lately... They are getting a bit spammy.

Well actually I find the IE one better (more features) but I don't mind the FF one I don't use it enough to give a shit about an official one

Ya, and there "Relevant Text Ads" both on search and GMAIL aren't very...well...relevant

I searched, for example, "Halo PC Mods" and got something about the United States proposed missile deffense system (which, fyi, is not called "Halo" "PC" or "Mods" )

Hm, If Halo is related to missiles, defense or whatever it's not strange at all that those results are returned

Relating to blade's earlier post...

It seems that nearly all relevant text ads on Google searches seem to have something to do with sex

It's all these bots that come into things like chat rooms for example and say "want some fun??, visit blah blah blah.com"

wow.... whoever puts that together must have a fun job enter every keyword and search for those keywords and then find a relevent ad.....the Halo one for instance.... to go that in depth with it to say that halo is connected with missiles in a way...... sounds like great fun to do


although i really wouldn't mind working for google

Search 5 random words and I bet that at least 1 or 2 of the words will give you a "relevant" ad about sex or porn
