using software after the trial period isn't a legal thing to do, and thus is against the rules of this forum to suggest that....

What got oldversion.com to do with this? If he wants software, why should he d/l old and redundant software (with possible bugs)? Bad suggestion IMO....

As far as i remember, i could use my winzip when the trial period expired..it just displayed a nagscreen when i started it, but you could still use it. Its the same with winrar i think.

just try and download winzip, and if the trial runs out, download another zip program.. or you could just right click, send to > .zip folder

The freeware compression programs are well enough I suppose, if you really want to stay legal but not want to buy the stuff. =/
