You need to have been given an invite from Gmail, they're randomly given out...also this question can be answered on the Gmail FAQ...Why bother starting a thread?

1) It's agaist the user agreement to have more than one Gmail account
2) You will get invites to give after a few days, neither I had invites when I got my account
3) Read what Beware said
