The layout looks really cool, can't wait til it's finished.. and btw i prefered the 1st two logo's. I decided to have a go aswell as i was bored. So here it is.

ive decided to go for the glass effect in my above mock-ups
anyhoo i made a new logo which i think is pretty cool

It is too gray.. should have more colour.. and the font doesnt help :/

i think you should try something else, that doesnt fit very well with the type of site.. realy i htink you hsould try another style
