Then in your case it was simply a problem of having Flash Player 6 which most sites accept, unlike Msgplus.net which requires Flash Player 7.
I'm interested in the SP2 problem, though. Can those who have this problem view the flash content at Macromedia.com without problems? (I've googled and it seems this kind of the detection is quite popular and a few sites have this problem)
