:-/ That's the absolute top of the line FX series. To get a base 64-bit is about $200, and the one I have is about $380.

I can get one for 200 on sale here with motherboard for $180.

And Windows Codename Longhorn (Illegal to have unless authorized by microsoft) and XP for 64bit systems is still in beta.

It would be a good idea to simply look at what would need to be done in to make Plus! compatible with a 64-bit environment. Then, if there is only some small adjustments, maybe Patchou would consider building some 64-bit support. If there is a lot to do, then it would probably be a good idea to wait until Longhorn or XP x64 comes out.

I thought that XP x64 was backwards compatible with all 32-bit apps.

It's supposed to be, but isn't. It actually has very poor back compat. with 32-bit programs, and I don't even want to know about 16-bit ones (:P).

Hopefully that will get better near the finaly release and Patchou won't even have to re-configure plus! :)

The backward compatibility with 32 bit is actually quite good. I think they've completely cut out 16 bit since there are hardly any programmes that people use which are 16 bit.

No, it's HORRIBLE. Basically no 32-bit programs work :-/.

Well it's alpha/beta, so I wouldn't expect much.
