blade is that a widescreen resolution, i have a widescreen resolution too. I have 1280 x 800 but want to know how to make it bigger

on the enlarge slider, it just goes

640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1280 x 800

and then it stops, how do i get higher resolutions.

1) I don't have a widescreen - just a standard 17" monitor
2) If the res doesn't go any higher it means your video card doesn't support any higher of a resolution.

By getting a monitor capable of higher resolutions :P
If you have the correct driver installed for your monitor, Windows won't let you set it to incompatible settings. I'd love to run higher than 1024×768, but my 15" LCD isn't capable of it. So I can't.

It's more often the video card than the monitor. Most CRTs have quite a high max, where as most LCDs have a 1280x1024 max most of the time.

Partially true: my video card can go way above 1024×768, but my monitor can't, which is why I have the limit imposed by Windows.

Your monitor must be pretty old.

Btw, what video card do you have?

Why do you have a link to Norton on your desktop? It's almost impossible to completely shut down Norton while your PC's running so that icon would have no use whatsoever :p
The previous sentence is false. The following sentence is true.

depends on the size of the screen, the smaller the screen the less the resolution.
