O.P. Huh?  Sound Pack creation
Hi Folks,

Just downloaded the fantastic MsgPlus. It's wonderful.

But I was wondering if there any way to create a plp from scratch. I have a lot of song and I would like to create my own sound pack without importing my sounds one by one.

Any information on the internal structure of the plp are welcome ..

Regards

I'm pretty sure you can't.

I think you will have to add them one by one into Plus!, then export them to a sound pack.

This has to be done because they need to get their sound ID from the server.

You misunderstood the question. He wants to make a soundpack (.plp) from a collection (not one by one) of sounds not yet in Plus! soundlibrary, so he can import em all at once later on.

It must be possible somehow, i've been searchin (google etc.) for a soundpacker maker (program) but couldn't find one. Maybe someone else knows how to.

Sunshine you got it.

I would like to develop a small tool, a kind of plp creator.

For sure I will offer this tool through the msgplus.net web site.

Well if you can find out exactly how Plus! converts it into .plp files then you know where to start.

I would very much like such a tool :D

I think this thread belongs in Tech talk, i will ask mods to move it there (bigger chance a techie will see) ;)

I'm sorry i still don't understand.

How is he going to make one without having the sound ID's for each sound file?

Do i have it wrong again and that he wants (or to make) a mass adder like some of them emoticon programs out there?

i dont think it will be possible, as xsRush said, they need to be added by Plus!, so that they can get a sound ID from the server
SoundPacks   -   Scripts   -   Skins

that's not a bug, thats an unexpected feature

Guys,

I agree but we can imagine a plug in which will use the messenger plus connection to get the ID from the server. Then I'll do a multiple add.

In addition, is there any way to get some plp from the sound database available when you request a random sound from the chat interface.

Coding is not my main problem, once I get the information I will code such a plug in.

I don't think you will get much info about the server, seeing as the servers are already under enough stress without a mass-adder like you want to make.

Plus! already lets you make sound packs from your sounds.

Also if you where able to do it your way, you could maybe make a sound 1MB+ big. (again i could be wrong about it all)
