RE: Tiny bug
Plain and simple this is not a bug.

Windows Version: Windows XP, 5.01.2600
Messenger Client Version: 7.0.0777
Messenger Plus! Version: 3.51.0128

5.01.2600 Is the same thing as 5.1.2600 because 01 is 1.

Do you understand?

If the minor version of a program is less then 1 digit then it is proceeded by a 0 but not displayed. And if a revision of a program is less then 4 then it is proceeded by a 0 but not displayed. In this case Plus! gets the exact version in its (!VER).

Windows XP IS in fact 5.1.2600, and both the webpage and the About menu of Messenger Plus! show me 3.51.128. In both cases an additional 0 is added in between... Will this be fixed?

Windows XP is 5.1.2600. That extra zero is incorrect, no matter what spin you try to put on it. Hidden zeros or whatever, what is the problem with making it say 5.1.2600? Goto Start > Run > winver. See exactly what Microsoft think :)

Version numbers are not based on maths. 01 is not the same as 1. Why there are extra zeros is a question only Patchou can answer. It's true its only a tiny bug, but its easy enough to fix it to accurately display the correct version number.

Er... why do decimals have a zero in front of them? Nowhere in Windows have I seen it written as 5.01.2600, so why do you assume there is a zero that is just hidden? ^o)

So is it actually written as 5.01.02600 then? If decimals have a zero in front of them as you say, then surely that should be the case? ;)

I'm not saying that having a proceeding 0 in a version number is unusual. However the version of that MSN is 7.0.0777! So it is correct.

The think I find usual is that you are essentially saying that version 1.1 is the same as version 1.01 which doesn't seem right to me ^o)
