O.P. Huh?  Message sound notification on active chat window
Hi,

I searched the forum for this, but the threads are kinda dead... :S
Sorry... I'm not good in programming VB and C++ or any other programming language...

It would be great if there's a sound notification when a new message is received even if the chat windows is active... (basically like ICQ... the o-ooh sound)
I think this feature would be useful...

I know MSN Discovery got this, but it only gives a lame internal PC "beep"... :dodgy:

I heard it's a standard feature in MSN 7?
Am I correct?
I'm using 6.2.0205...

It isn't a feature in MSNM7. You'll need a plugin to do this.

You could use Plus! Notification menu, to play a sound when a notification is display, and if you download a sound you want you can use that one.

Plus > Notifications

AFAIK, there isn't a plugin which does this. raceprouk wasn't reffering to a particular plugin, but saying that a plugin would be needed to do what you want.

I actually want this too.

Anyhow can some one explain what this is for?

It doesn't play a sound when I receive a notification. Like a new message from a user.

That option only relates to Plus!'s notifications. Messenger's own sounds are configured elsewhere.

As for the sound-for-active-window, I'll look into it. You may see it in a future version fo Phoenix as a result ;)
