nope, its still messed up. Anyone think I should rol back & update. Might the problem be that the auto Update updated software 1st and then the actual driver?

Oh well i'll live...

hmm, well maybe it's bc we have different audio cards (I have Audigy 2 ZS Plainum). When I install drivers and restart my pc I hear the star up sound a little interupted by time (messend up), but then when i restart again it's back to normal.

its a latency bug
