God I hate rippers.

They have also ripped Gant MSN - calling it Aqua MSN but even using Rolando's screenshot.
People like them disgust me.

Advanced Messenger Plus seems not to be the same quality of Messenger Plus and costs $14.95 to use when the trial is up! They could have at least called it something different.
I don't like them having the same name with Advanced on the front, and never have, it implies that their version is an advanced version of Messenger Plus. People think MP and AMP software is made by the same person.
I don't know where the law stands on this, but with their name being an obvious rip off of Messenger Plus, can't legal action be taken.

Patchou only has copyrights on MsgPlus! and Messenger Plus! (not without the !) so i dont think he can do anything about it |

Indeed, but if the name is so similar that it could cause easy confusion. I've heard of cases where your existing copyright can be so close to someone elses, that was made after, that you have grounds for a lawsuit, however as I said before I don't know where the law stands on this for sure.
For example I couln't make a company called Mikrosoft, due to the fact that Microsoft would see it as an obvious rip off. |

I do remember a while back about 2 years ago, when Patchou first found out about this and to my knowledge shut them down.
From what I have heard, Advanced Messenger Plus has all the features of Messenger Plus! Its annoying that someone is trying to rip off the greatest program ever created. |

Apart ActiveX - I don't use IE, I use Firefox. So ActiveX doesn't apply to me. |

same here which is one reason I use firefox...it keeps me safe from stupid things like that...
