last nite i click on the Messenger Plus xtra thing and renamed one of my contacts bt i didnt like it.

since den i cnt see any emotions in anyones name

its wud show ( L ) instead of the

In the main messenger window go to Contacts -> Manage Contacts -> View Contacts By and select Display Name

no - you must actually sign out, this applies the settings and so next time you sign ni they work. try signing in - changing the settings- then sign back out {so the settings are saved} then sign back in. this way you will not forget.

when you say it goes back to its old ways have you renamed another contact? every time you rename a contact and then decide to go back to have them as d/n's {display names} you must apply this setting again - so you must sign out afterwards.
it is best that you sign out of MSN everytime anyway. not just shutting down your PC. it will remember your d/p {display picture} and backgrounds then too.

i did what u sed .. i signed out n wen i went back in the same ting is happenin ( no emotion )

its saved my d/p and thats it

how do i apply the settings?? its in the top of the screen all i can do is click view as contact display name ...
