I really hope he already knew it, and that this is one of the reasons why he delayed his first beta release.

Even if it means no plus..

Why dont you just downgrade to 7.5 again and use MSN Messenger.... I have WLM (the older build) but I still use MSN more often because I don't like the way WLM is.

There is no reason for Patchou to give up on Messenger Plus! Live at all. All he might need to do it change his color scheme so it blends in with the new WLM style better, that's all. Nothing else really changed.

EDIT: MP!L Alpha already hooks into the new build, so i guess Patchou won't have to many problems with this build.

Here's what I posted on Neowin:

I'm surprised to hear it partially work, if I were you I would use caution (and uninstall it if Messenger starts acting funny). For those of you who wonder about old/new engine, the oposite happened. This new build of Messenger uses many new techniques/files which actually completely broke my current alpha version of Plus! 4.

So rest assured that Messenger is evolving, and quite a lot (the new beta requires at least XP SP1 though).

Like Patchou said, using 3.61 is not recomended on WLM. But here is a direct link: http://www.msgforum.nl/hosted/MsgPlus-361.exe . Because RapidShare kinda sucks these days :).
