hey, ever one

theres a problem with my computer, i've been able to download torrents before, using differnet programs.

but in the last few months or so, i haven't been able to get any of them to connect, they simply refuse to connect.

i don't know much about bit torrents, or how to fix them, anybody got a clue

also, if theres somebody out there with a fast connection to the internet, and would like to download a file for me then send it to me, please PM me

Are you sure you're using the ports you're using open on your router / firewall ?

this happend to me, it turns out a firewall had blocked it...:S

have you got norton etc, check them...:)

You don't need to open a port to use bittorrent. However, if you don't, you won't be able to connect to as many people (as long as one person in a pair has the port open, you'll be able to connect to each other) and either way, that wouldn't cause connection errors to the tracker.
