Because they opened up the beta to all their users does not automatically mean it will be "final" / aka "out of beta" withing a few weeks.

It simply means the beta is now accessable to all the users, nothing more, nothing less.

Weither or not we will see a "final" release in 4 weeks time doesn't have much to do with this.

Remember that the amount of people who had an invite for the beta was only a very small fraction of the whole worldwide userbase of Messenger. Much things can happen now that everybody can access it...

If I remeber the 7.0 public beta was released In January 05 and the final released in April 05.

Windows Live Messenger has alot more work coming for it, it will be months before it is anywhere near finshed I think :P

Exactly, they need to test the servers just as much (if not more) then the actual WLM client.
