i droped my camera BY ACCIDENT, the lens was so messed up and was just not working at all, lines in the lens and everything, i told em its makin funny colours and lines everywhere, they sent me a new one no questions asked, i love hp

yeah, but you can't mess up a firmware by accident do you? ^^

grab a glass, fill it with water, put your player in it, take it to the freezer, wait a few hours, and let it dry

Download new firmware.  Upgrade firmware, it says "Do not unplug."  But who cares, unplug!

Let me guess, you bought it from Future shop?

Nop, the warrenty is with the store (best buy) therefore they're the one in charge.

The geeks will figure out what you did.
I had warranty with a camera, and it was inspected before being replaced.

Dont put it in water, if they take it apart they will be able to see the water marks on the chips and realise that it was your fault.

I think nvez's option is the best.
