Lost-Prophet are you using vista? - just wondered because of your theme in your screenshot, and I'm thinkin that may be whats causing your problem (doubtful but who knows)

Try delete your Messenger local files
1.Start>Run. Type "C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft" and click OK.
2. Delete the two followings folders: Messenger and Windows Live Contacts

No such luck. Deleted all of them folders andmade no difference :(, thanks anyway. I think it may be corrupt registry or part of Windows damaged? I mean I've now totally removed MSN and it still dont work so I dont think MSN is faulty, its something else on my computer causing probs or hard drive damaged

I was having that same problem. I did a system restore to remove IE 7 and Media Player 11 and the problem went away. Im using Windows Live and it works fine after i removed IE 7.
