hi,
Im new here, so here goes.
I have only just upgraded to xp.
I have downloaded the latsest live messenger from msn.
when I log on and tick all the boxes to remember me, auto log in etc, all is fine,
then when I go to my wifes account and do the same there, then come back to my account, it doesnt log me in, I have to re-enter my password etc, then it will log me in as normal.
if I then go back to my wifes account the same has happend there.
any sulutions ?

also just noticed that what ever is in my recycle bin, is also in my wifes, and deleteing mine also deletes hers.
is this an xp thing ?

I think if you sign out and sign into another account, it won't automatically log you in. The automatic login only works when you open WLM. You open the program and it would log you in, and it's not going to automatically log you in just because you selected a certain email from the list.

it used to work ok on my old winME, logging us both in automaticly.

I think I didnt explain it to good.
I log on to my user account on xp, my messenger should log on auto, but it doesnt.
I open it up in my name etc etc, tick all the boxes and it logs me in.
I log off my xp account and go to my wifes account,
I open up messenger and log in  using my wifes details and tick the boxes and it logs on,
if I log them off my wifes xp account and go back to mine, my messenger doesnt log me on auto, it used to log us both on auto on my old winME.
if I go back to my wifes account she logs in auto.
its as if if one of us logs in, it logs the other off, instead of running as two different programs like it did on my old winME
if I logged on to my winME account, msn logged me in auto, and if my wife then logged into her account, her msn would log her in auto without either of us having to do anthing, like selecting email addys or user names etc.

You keep changing which account auto-logs in

just downloaed an old version of msn then picked option to udate to the latest version...all works
I log on to my user account and msn logs on auto to my msn account. (without me doing anything)
log me off and on to my wifes xp account and msn logs on auto to her msn account (without having to do anything).......see knew I wasnt going mad, and it worked like that

I still think you're continually changing the default user to sign in automatically. But hey, prove me wrong
