I wouldn't bother with gaming laptops, their battery life isn't very good, and they are really heavy.

However, there are some decent laptops which are decent for playing the odd game, and have a good battery life, managable weight, just don't expect to play games with awesome graphics.

Although, they get a lot of stick, Dell PCs are good value, they are easily customisable, and their support service is very good.

dell laptops are better than their desktops but i wouldn't say that their PC's are worth as mucha s they charge, i've had to fix soooo many of them just after their warranty has gone

Dell own Alienware.

So even if you buy an Alienware laptop, you're getting a Dell.

Which sucks. :(

And a gaming laptop surely isn't much use to you in uni. Wouldn't you want one that you can  do all your work on and use in class(if you are allowed) to take notes down with?
