Go to the Microsoft Connect Website, click Available Connections, and select Windows Live Messenger 8.1 beta and fill in the survey.

If you don't see it on Available Connections, like me, you can click [link removed] to go straight to the survey.

Managed testers of 8.0 are automatically accepted but get the invite automatically
