will it make people use OpenSuse? Fedora? other free ones , Ubuntu have every right to do what there doing but i can see a downslide in there usage of Ubuntu

I don't think it will, if someone really wants to use Ubuntu, they will either download it, or pay to get it shipped. I wouldn't mind betting the vast majority of the CDs sent out were wasted, just people wanting to get them becuase they were free to throw them around or whatever, which obviously costs money. |

thats what i'd do if i couldnt get it myself, , ii think this move is a good one for the company/distro to survive in the long run,
