Do you have Smiley Central, SweetIM or any other programs except MP!L related to WLM. Try removing them and WLM , then delete MSN Messenger folder in Program Files. Install messenger again. That might solve your problem.

Well after removing sweetIM, and reinstalling wlm, it worked (at least it seems so after my first re start of windows ). Does this mean, I cannot have both programs together?  Or can I reinstall sweetIM now, too?

SweetIM + Messenger Plus! Live = Incompatibilities, meaning they won't work together.
