1024 B   = 1 KB
1024 KB = 1 MB
1024 MB = 1 GB
1024 GB = 1 TB

if 4190.5 bits = 4.878384e-007 GB
If 4190.5 bytes = 3.902707e-006 GB
If 4190.5 Kilobytes = 0.003996372 GB
If 4190.5 Megabytes = 4.092285 GB
If 4190.5 Terabytes = 4291072 GB (that would be hell of alot)

that is not true...
you should convert it by multiplying it with 1000 not with 1024...
And I know computers use the 1024 because of the binary thingy...
But that doesn't make the math correct...

RE: how many gigs is this?
err, it is true

you do multiply by 1024, just ask google

http://www.google.ca/search?q=1GB+to+MB

yeah well that doesn't make it true...
1000 meter = 1 Kilometer
1000 Kilometer =1 Megameter
1000 Megameter = 1 Gigameter

That is the basic behind it and it is true for whatever meter is so also for bytes...

The standard "fabricator" standard is 1 to 1000.
However, Windows uses 1 to 1024, for some reason...

In the world of computers can refer to both 1000 and 1024. However, 1024 is more common and accepted. Filesizes and memory size are usually measured in the 1024 form.

Strictly speaking foaly is right, but in the real word using 1000 instead of 1024 on file/memory size is not much accepted and causes a lot on confusion.
