aside from the editor that comes with msgplus, does anyone use any alternative programs for editing scripts?

RE: Code editor
I tried using Notepad2 for a while... It's just seems easier with the code window. I did start making my own code window for a while as well, with common snippets built in, but it was too complicated to get the text box to behave right.

I'm using PHP Designer 2007 for all my coding stuff. PHP, HTML, CSS, XML, JScript,... it can highlight everything and looks damn nice! :)
It's paid software, but well, let's say I think you can figure out what I mean... if you don't, PM. :P
If you're interested, check out the PHP Designer homepage

Eidt: i dont usually code either, just for editing little things like html/css files usually =p

i know there's not many KDE users let alone *nix users here, but Kate is one of my favourites, it also has good support for many popular languages, and syntax highlighting.

I use Notepad++. But its built-in style might be a little bit uncomfortable (especially font sizes/faces differ across comments/keywords/... etc under the same language)

I also use PHP Designer, but the 2005 edition. Ive had this for a while and never bothered to update, but its a great program, useful for lots of different languages. Other then that, I just use the built in editor, and just simply notepad occasionally lol

Thanks, I 'acquired' this, and it looks great. Not quite Dreamweaver, but looks pretty useful. (Y)

I feel Dreamweaver is too "bloated" and "bulky" for anything that you intend to do with it, unless you are actually maintaining a website

I might be stupid here, but doesn't WLM only run under Windows XP or above. I know you can use WINE, but I didn't think it'd work with WLM *shrug*
