O.P. Computer crashes
allright :^) My pc had a vacation for 2 months
He didn't have any problem at all
now, my computer crashes, and I think it's because of windows live
I've reinstalled windows xp several times, without result.
now, my computer crashes each time I try to use my cam during a conversation.

does anyone knows how to solve this?

a logitech quickcam. but, I've been using this webcam for like 2-3 years now, and this is the first time that I experience such problems. My computer simply shuts down everytime I try to use my webcam during a convo (I have no problems using it in windows). I tried to reinstall the driver of the webcam, didn't work either.

Windows Live Messenger (downloaded it from the site of MSN)
and I've downloaded the drivers from the logitech website. I tell you :) everything is up to date. I think it's weird because I formatted my C:\ and reinstalled everything, and the problem keeps occuring.

OK I'VE FIGURED OUT WHAT'S THE PROBLEM

when I install service pack 2 on my windows xp pro, Windows Live Messenger starts to act very weird. It starts 'windows installer' and starts correcting live messenger. In that process my computer shuts down (crash, obviously).

now that I uninstalled sp2, it acts like nothing happened

anyone a sollution to this?

btw thanks for the comments so far :)
