hi there..i've a little bit of problem..my first test skin doesnt appear..i followed willz instruction step by step..but still it doesn't apeear..i've restarted my messenger..it still does not appear..im using messenger 8.5.1302

i've saved the file as SkinInfo.xml and still doesnt appear.. i'll post an attachment of my SkinInfo.xml file.. pls take a look and help

are you working in C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\Skins ?

if you are then you may want to try reinstalling Plus! and see if the skin appears then.

You have to save the file into the messenger plus! live directory. Then you go to plus! preferences and you select it.

Yes..I'm working in the directory that you have specified..but still i am not able to see the file under "messenger plus" i've tried reinstalling..but still there's no effect.. i'll attach the content that i have copy-paste from your skinning instructions..

I checked again the first picture and I think you have put the wrong " in the major and minor.The " should be like this.

<MsgVersion Major="8" Minor="5"/>

I may be mistaken but can you please check it.   

Are you sure the file is SkinInfo.xml and not SkinInfo.xml.txt?
(just tossing it out there incase)

More important: did you save it as Unicode?

Sir..you are right..thats the error.. its suppose to be the way you said..thank you so much for your help..was racking my brain for this problem..thank you all for those who have tried to help..thanks alot..will post again if there's any problem,sorry to trouble all of you....
