remove battery just run from mains then, just cause it's plugged in doesn't mean it's running from the mains always

I was normally using ubuntu and it just cut out again :( This time with ubuntu... so this means that's its something my in my laptop.. right?

What make of laptop is it? I have one that's cut out completely once, and that runs Ubuntu Gutsy.

When mine goes into sleep it doesn't come back out ...

Vista has caused me to lose pieces of work in the past, it is a extremely poor feature and is a testament to Microsoft's lack of user friendly software.
