Gears of War 2;
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts;
Mirror's Edge;
Too Human;
and umm... I think that's it for 2008 alone.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Halo Wars.
So... What's the PS3's 'real games to look forward to' line-up?

Blu-Ray is the one reason I was also considering a PS3, but you can pick up a PC BluRay drive for around £80, and an el-cheapo 8600GT has GPU hardware decoding... so it's a much cheaper option. |

I need a HDTV before Blu-ray  (I play my 360 on PC monitor via HDMI cable)

Same here. But then again, have you tried downloading a 1080 or even 720p trailer from the Quicktime website? Those things look sweet, even compared to DVDs.

I have tried watching some high def content on my PC (in fact I have the entire LOTR trilogy in 720p, it's amazing  ). But if I'm going to be limited to PC viewing then I have other ways of obtaining videos
My monitor is 1920x1080
