You might have trouble complaining about text delay times to be honest, there's nothing in your contract with Orange that says that text have to arrive promptly.

This allows the networks to conserve resources because they can use Packet switching to send text messages instead of Circuit Switching.

As long as they're getting there eventually, there's not much you can do. (Although in my experience, ringing Orange regularly to nag them can work well for fixing issues)

Yeah I'm with Orange. Had this problem with Sony Ericsson phones a lot. Never happened to me on Samsung phones (still the same sim card btw).

On another note:
There broadband is terrible.

I'm with O2, never had problems with messages taking days, etc

I pay nothing all year for 500mins and 400 texts (or the other way round, i can never remember, i never reach my limit)

well, i pay it out, but i claim it all back

the only downside is that they don't have delivery reports for texts
