Life here is easier than in most placee in Euope, less taxes and the basic cost of life lower, especially compared with the UK. As for the population, just blend in. Changing country can always be a difficult thing but it's up to you to make it a good or a bad thing. Canada is a great place to live imo and I'm sure you'll be very happy here. Just don't make the mistake many people do: try to live in both your old country and the new one.
