Experiencing the problem again now.

ipconfig /flushdns

in the command prompt for some basic debugging.

if nslookup fails or tracert says something like "unable to resolve..", it's a dns issue - try using the msghelp.net ip directly (http://64.62.180.102/) or, as wj suggested, switching to OpenDNS

http://64.62.180.102/ - Works fine.

ipconfig /flushdns - Successful.
nslookup msghelp.net - Can't find msghelp.net: Server failed.
tracert msghelp.net - Unable to resolve target system name msghelp.net.

...switching to OpenDNS fixed the problem.

RE: Forum down?
On a related note, I'm unable to access http://www.msgpluslive.net/ at the moment.

Using a proxy, as well as trying both "is it down?" websites - confirms that website is working fine for others.

I've tried ipconfig /flushdns and /registerdns.

No problems with any other websites.

Using OpenDNS or Google Public DNS does not resolve the issue.

Any ideas?

"General Failure" in a ping usually means a problem with your machine, usually firewall related.

Sometimes when I click my bookmark for here, Chrome tells me how it can't find the site or something like that. It either will say to try reloading the page or to view a cached copy, but then I just click the bookmark again and it works. I can remember it doing this since the end of last year, on different computers and connections :s

Found the problem - Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

With 'Website Blocking' turned on, it blocks access to msgpluslive.net

Just searched their forum and I see Nathalie has attempted to report it, without getting anywhere.

Wow, that guy has a serious vendetta.

Over an hour to install Messenger Plus! Live?  What the hell is he trying to install it on?  It takes 2 minutes tops :S

Update on that one: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopi...=findpost&p=295857

Looks like this guy also is responsible for eset nod32 blocked messenger plus 4.85. He said he shares his "details" with Eset... Eset told me an "independent tester(non ESET employee)" confirmed their findings... and both apps seem to have added signatures against Plus! along the same timeframe.
Finish the problem

So we can say that he's the moron behind that causes that ESET and Malwarebytes blocks Messenger Plus!...

Does someone has downloaded the huge 271MB, I mean, 271MB for a video of how to install Messenger Plus! with the sponsor it's a huge trolling for me... and reading his posts (and how he tried Nathalie) he's like some kind of troll engineer...

Well, fortunately, others antivirus companies are smart enough to make tests by themselfs... or at least they don't give a crap of what this guy says...

What's worst is that he tries to excuse it by saying that the software he runs for making the video does that.

And after saying that, he claims that every installation he has make about Plus! is slow... reading that tells me that he have a celeron 851 Mhz with 256 of RAM for testing purposes or his main pc it's a crap.
