mine fav IM wood have to b MSN! bcause u can add on heaps of features and talk with heaps of stuff! but file transfer is pretty crap!

i would say irc for sure its the best ever

but i use msn to chat to my mates

bad statistics, cuz AIM is integrated in to the aol browser, so they might not use it, but technicaly they have it installed

irc doesnt work for me that well...i'd connect to a server and go into chatrooms which would have people in them..but they'd never talk or the chatrooms wud be empty.

i spoke to no one and i had it for about 4 days.

so i got bored and uninstalled its ass

Erm, i dont think IRC comes under the category of IM's

It is a mass relay chat ....

Indeed, I'm is just a PC-2-PC chat, but sometimes there are more peoplle, that's the difference bewteen IM and IRC. On IRC people can join freely, when in IMs can't.

Anyways, MSN of course has emoticons, sounds, backgrounds, blah etc.
