System:
Win XP - all updates
Latest Msgplus
I have no pc firewall, I do have a router but I opened a port
I used the third function and entered my own external ip
I left the packet size on the default 1024.

Is there a way to get my max upload using File Transfer Plus?

Try using DU Meter to determine your current net speed instead of NetLimiter... you simply can't count on that program to tell you the correct speed (unlike DU Meter). :)

No, I didn't search before
posting. Don't bother asking.

I've added them to my to-do list, thanks :P Actually I was already thinking about the auto-accept feature for people in your "friend list", so it would save the file in a default folder even if you're away ;)

Just thought of another feature: multi-source for multi-user conversations... This one's probably to hard, so I guess it's not going to be in there anyway:dodgy:. But I'll just throw in another 2 cents:P.

...with the obviosly security warnings about that, of course. (Mmm... Too much SP2 reviews I think :$).

No joking, I think that Patchou also should to add a "Warning Message" for the Auto-Accept feature into Messenger Plus! 3.10.

Could it be possible to select a default folder to save stuff to, like MSN Messenger allows you to do. I'd like to just save everything to My Received Files without having to manually navigating to it each time. You could tie this in with the auto-accept feature as well (y)

RE: RE: File Transfer Plus 1.0 RELEASE
Hi,

i am behind a NAT-Router too, having the same problem.
I opend port 8030-8040 for incoming calls in the router.

I tried to transfer a file to a friend but nothing happend as
described  in the other posts....

I went to the router logfile and found this :
Unrecognized access from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3594 to UDP port 8030
or
Unrecognized access from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3597 to UDP port 8030
or
Unrecognized access from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3600 to UDP port 8030

so i opened port range 3590-3600...  Same result, it will not send
the file ... 8-)

RE: File Transfer Plus 1.0 RELEASE
i had a few thoughts for improvements on this..

a resend when file tranferes fail
maybe one window for the file transferes? that has a line for each transfer and you can double clikc to open the current file transfer window.
it could have sortable colums for all the differnt info for the transfer
and queue

also i was thinking this could reach an even larger audience if you broke away from plus! (just a thought) for poeple who dont want plus but would want this

and a third thing! being able to take over drag and drop transfers to the window, either with a drapg and drop box, or the entire window

judging from that log, try to make sure you opened up port 8030-8040 UDP too, you probably opened it TCP
I think he opened UDP instead, since the plugin only uses TCP ports.

That would require much more programming work to interact with the Messenger API, which would greatly delay the release of new versions. Also, MsgPlus has many other nice plugins that make Messenger to be a lot better.

i dont deny that in the least, and i do agree that this plugin should first be fully "complete" first, but it definantly would get it out to more people, and more people would use it.

i have friends who dont use plus, and wouldnt download it just for one plugin

well hard to say ... there is no information in the router which kind of port it is ...
the help screen in the router don´t tell either....
it only say´s trigger port and incoming port....
