RE: UPDATE! File Transfer Plus 1.1 BETA
Are the next versions backwards compatible? Cause I don't like to have to tell all my friends to download the new version, Everytime there is a minor update.

Nice! I've been waiting for the final release! I use it with a lot of my friends, but I don't want to bother them with an update that is still beta. If the final one is out, I'll make them download it !
amen to that
not everyone is as enthusiastic as we are that keeps checking updates every minute
update notifier all the way to go~

Yes, all 1.1 versions are compatible (although 1.1 alpha doesn't work when compression is enabled).

RE: File Transfer Plus 1.1 BETA
can you use the same way you used to hook send button (spy++ or similar) to detect receive file event and enable sendername download folder when the sender doesn't use FTP plugin?

No, that event does not generate a system message that can be intercepted. I don't know any other way to change the MSN file transfer behavior.

EDIT: Also working for drag-and-drop!
Do you mean that, when I drop a file on The chatwindow it will ask if the contact has File Transfer Plus and then he/she does, it sends it with File Transfer Plus or if he/she doesn't have it it will send it with the normal Transfer?

RE: File Transfer Plus 1.1 BETA
That depends on the maximum speed your internet has... If you have a 56k, I don't think it can be much more... But with a DSL you should get far more... But it doesn't only depend on your internet, also the others

Exactly.

That speed is usual for a modem connection, but it also depends on a lot of other factors not related to File Transfer Plus, such as the line quality.
