I must be honest I have not tried a file transfer in a while now, simply gave up and use emails.  So not sure if it works now since I made a few minor adjustments.

What error message are you recieving?

Thanks!

you can get quicker file tranfser and it supports, pause and resume and yes the other contact need both Plus! and the plugin to use it.
SoundPacks   -   Scripts   -   Skins

that's not a bug, thats an unexpected feature

Okay.  Odd, MSN have made a mess of the whole "File Transfer" thing in my opinion.  They should of just left it as it was for many many years, but no they think this is protecting the end - user.  Yea, from enjoying their Internet Chat Experience.

Maybe they want us to go and use something else.  Maybe their over quota.  j/k...

But back to this topic, I tried to do a File Transfer with someone with the plugin and I got the same error message as MSN produce.

So.... Maybe it's XP?  Some sort of setting?  Firewall?

I think the problem of MSN crashing when a chat window is opened during startup is fixed for the next release.

@AJ222:
Does it happen only when you use the Send button or also when you type /xtpsend on the chat window?

@jusa_98:
If you use the plugin directly (i.e. using /xtpsend) there will be no limitation on the file type you send.

Just to ask again, did you think about UPnP support?

Yes, but you'll have to wait till the next major version (1.2), which will include many more connection settings for better compatibility.

Because it uses a direct P2P connection for full speed and custom features. Otherwise I would have to use Messenger's protocol, which does not support any feature of the plugin and it's technically difficult to do that interaction, so there would be no advantage at all.

Hello RicarDog, you have a great plugin here. Once I got it going it works like a charm. Just a question. Which I posted somewhere else in the forum, but no one who knows how to make plugins answered. Is there anyway to create something similiar to ftplus but using the webcam. I'm sure msn messenger doesnt use its full bandwidth for the webcam. Do you know if you can create a plugin that bypasses the msn protocal and goes straight to pnp connection with the webcam? I don't know crap about that type of programming but hope you can let me know.
Thanks again for a great plugin...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
